Chief Corporate Services Officer

Main Responsibility

Mr. Jetty Lungu is the Chief Corporate Services Officer (CCSO) at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). He provides strategic leadership for the Corporate Services Directorate, overseeing Corporate Communications, Procurement & Supplies, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Administration. As a member of the Management Executive Committee, he is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving business processes, supporting digital transformation, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that the Corporate Services Directorate effectively supports the delivery of IDC’s Transformation Strategy.

Jetty champions strategic business transformation programmes that improve productivity, optimise operating costs, modernise corporate systems, strengthen organisational capability, and support sustainable value creation across the IDC Group. Key focus areas include supporting sustainability (ESG) and integrated reporting, digital business transformation, and corporate reputation enhancement.

 

Work Experience

Jetty is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of board and executive leadership experience across Africa and Asia in corporate strategy, investment management, finance, organisational transformation and private sector development. He has held senior leadership positions with organisations including Ernst & Young (Zambia and South Africa), CIMA Southern Africa, Airtel Zambia, Digicel (Papua New Guinea), FINCA Zambia etc. He has consulted on large transformation projects for the World Bank, Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA), the European Union, the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), USAID, United Nations etc. Most notable of these projects is the ZCCM Privatization project and the Municipal Support Programme (South Africa). Examples of private sector projects managed: Rebranding Zain to Airtel, Airtel Money and KYC (Sim registration) at Airtel and restructuring FINCA Zambia (business restructuring FINCA, during Covid-19 crisis, and turning around the Micro-Finance Institution from loss to profit making).

 

Throughout his career, he has led institutional transformation initiatives, developed corporate policies and operational frameworks, managed investment programmes, and supported organisations to improve efficiency, governance systems, performance and service delivery. His experience aligns well with IDC’s strategic focus on operational excellence, digital transformation, sustainable growth and organisational effectiveness.
