Eastern Tropical Fruit Company

Eastern Tropical Fruit Company Limited operates a hybrid fruit and vegetable processing plant in Katete District, Eastern Province. The project was designed to process a range of locally grown produce, including mangoes, guavas, oranges, bananas, tomatoes and groundnuts, into products such as juices, pulp, jams, concentrates, sauces and packaged foods. This gives the company a role in building an integrated horticultural value chain, with potential for product research, improved packaging, outgrower schemes, bulking centres and regional market access as operations develop.
