NEW LOOK LUSAKA TRUST HOSPITAL NEARS COMPLETION, AS IDC CEO CONFIRMS SUPPORT

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cornwell Muleya has toured the expansion project of Lusaka Trust Hospital to appreciate the work that has been done so far. IDC holds a 45% equity stake in the hospital.
Speaking during the tour of the new look Lusaka trust Hospital, Mr. Muleya said IDC recognises the success story from the facility as it demonstrates that people can do so much more provided, they are determined and work together.
Mr Muleya explained that Lusaka Trust Hospital has exceptional leadership that has worked tirelessly to ensure that the new hospital is a reality.
He commended the Board, Management and Staff of the hospital for the job well-done and assured them of IDC support required to complete the hospital.
Mr. Muleya has challenged the Board and Management of Lusaka Trust Hospital to gain back its historical advantage of offering VIP treatment once the new hospital is completed to help government reduce the cost of seeking medical treatment abroad.
Meanwhile, Lusaka Trust Hospital Managing Director Dr. Maggie Siwale said the facility needs an addition of over 1million United States dollars to fully complete the new building.
Dr. Siwale explained that the project demonstrates hard work and is glad that IDC is willing to support the completion of the new hospital which will house modern technology and serve the people of Zambia better.
