LS-MFEZ INCREASES DIVIDEND PAYOUT SIXFOLD

The Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone (LS-MFEZ) has declared a dividend of K10.2 million to the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) for the 2024 financial year, marking its fourth consecutive dividend and representing a sixfold increase from last year’s K1.5 million payout.
LS-MFEZ Board Chairperson Mr. Boster Chiyaba attributed the strong performance to the prudent measures implemented by the Board and Management in executing the company’s strategic plan.
“We are pleased to present this dividend cheque. For us, this moment signifies that your investment is yielding tangible returns,” he said. Mr. Chiyaba was accompanied by LS-MFEZ Acting CEO Mrs. Inonge Noyoo-Gondwe as well as some board members and senior management staff.
IDC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cornwell Muleya described the dividend as a clear demonstration of the return on investment that the Zambian people, through the IDC, have made in LS-MFEZ.
Mr. Muleya commended the LS-MFEZ leadership for successfully implementing a sound business strategy that has consistently delivered results over the past four years.
“The people of Zambia have entrusted us with a mandate, and it is our duty to execute it diligently. We appreciate the strategies you’ve put in place to achieve the growth we’re celebrating today,” he said.
Mr Muleya further expressed confidence in LS-MFEZ’s ability to sustain its strong performance and continue to declare dividends annually.
