Chitambo Agro Processing Limited (“CAPL”) is a company owned by the Industrial Development Corporation (“IDC”) in partnership with the Chitambo District Cooperative Union (‘’CDCU’’). CAPL is a start-up cassava milling company located in Mukando Chitambo, Central Province and will be producing cassava meal, starch, and stock feed for the local and regional markets.

A need has arisen to fill the following position:

LAB TECHNICIAN

In job grade CAP 4, the Lab Technician supports laboratory operations by conducting routine tests, preparing samples, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all work complies with established standards and protocols. The role involves assisting scientists and researchers with their experiments, recording data, and ensuring the lab environment remains clean and organized.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a relevant field.
• Professional Membership.
• Minimum of Three (3) years work experience in similar position.
• Training in food safety and hygiene practices as well as demonstrated understanding of ISO standards relevant to food processing and quality management systems will be added advantage.
