The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) charged with the mandate to spearhead the Zambian Government’s commercial investments agenda aimed at strengthening Zambia’s industrial base and job creation. IDC has 36 companies in its portfolio.

As part of its growth strategy, IDC focuses on developing Investment Professionals in the country through the Graduate Trainee Program. The Graduate Trainees undergo a one (1) year structured development program where they are trained on investments, portfolio management, and research among other areas of business. The Graduate Trainees work under experienced Supervisors who help to shape their skills set.

IDC accepts Masters or Degree holders with Distinction or Merit in the following:

  • Business Administration /Economics/Commerce/Risk and Internal Audit
  • Accountancy/Corporate Finance/ Financial Management/Full ACCA/CIMA
  • Investments /Portfolio Management /Treasury/CFA/Banking and Finance
  • Project Management / Production and Operations Management/ Engineering
  • Law/Human Resources/Procurement/ Development studies/ Agriculture

TO APPLY YOU MUST: •

  • Be a Zambian National.
  • Be a Degree holder with a Merit or Distinction.
  • Be 25 years and below as of 30th December 2022.
  • Get your qualifications validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority to get the equivalent of the local qualifications if you have foreign qualifications.

Applicants that do not meet the set criteria should not apply as they will not be considered. Shortlisted applicants will undergo Aptitude Testing, Psychometric Assessments, and Interviews among others. This one-year program will start on 1st March 2023.
