IDC PARTICIPATES IN ZAMBIA MINING AND INVESTMENT INSAKA (ZAMII)

This week, the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is participating in the second edition of the Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka (ZAMII), taking place at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre from October 6-10, 2025.
The premier mining conference is being held under the theme “Unlocking Africa’s Mineral Wealth: Advancing Sustainable Mining, Beneficiation and Value Addition.”
IDC is a proud sponsor of the event, in partnership with Mercuria, which has attracted over 1,500 delegates from across the globe.
On Day 1, an IDC delegation led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cornwell Muleya attended the CEOs’ Roundtable, which explored key topics such as critical minerals, gemstone value addition, and local content development in the mining sector, among others.
Later in the evening, IDC co-hosted a welcome cocktail with First Quantum Minerals, during which Mr. Muleya invited global investors to partner with IDC in implementing mining ventures as well as other strategic investments in manufacturing, energy, tourism, and agriculture. Mines Minister Hon. Paul Kabuswe, who graced the occasion, said the government had received around US$10 billion worth of investments in the mining sectors over the last four years.
On the sidelines of the conference, IDC is also exhibiting, showcasing Industrial Resources Limited, a special purpose vehicle focused on exploration, metal trading, precious metal aggregation and investment in Zambia’s mining value chain.
