Senior Finance Officer – Financial Reporting
ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for financial reporting. The role involves working closely with the more than 30 entities to ensure timely preparation of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards. The candidate must be grounded in the technical knowledge required for the application of the relevant Accounting and Reporting Standards. The candidate must have good experience of working with External Auditors.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY
The role focuses on the
- Preparation of separate and consolidated financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Performance of financial analyses and business decision making and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Provision of support subsidiaries in the area of financial reporting with a view to improving reporting turnaround time
- Spearheading the planning and preparation of all relevant schedules for external audits.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Technically strong; with demonstrable ability to interpret and apply all relevant standards;
- Knowledge of financial reporting packages including sage and CaseWare.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to provide support in the IDC Group.
- Ability to carry out an in-depth review of financial statements review

- Ability to work with teams including high-level interaction with stakeholders,
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least five (5) years’ work experience in a similar role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Full ACCA / CIMA or CA Accounting professional qualification
- Master’s degree in finance / MBA
MEMBERSHIP:
Professional membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountant (ZiCA).

The position reports to the Manager Finance.
