Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) was incorporated in 1982 with the mandate of managing 50,000 hectares of pine and eucalyptus forestry plantations and operate wood processing units in Zambia.

ZAFFICO currently has plantations in three distinct geographic areas, namely:

  • Copperbelt Province (several plantations over a radius of 60 km totalling 48,000 ha);
  • Plantations in Kawambwa (Luapula Province) of about 20,000 ha; and
  • Shiwang’andu Forest Plantation in Muchinga Province of about 25,000 ha that were established in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
