The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) says the Productivity Ecosystem for Decent Work Framework is a key component to the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) and job creation in Zambia.

Kabanda, said productivity and decent work are critical not only for the growth of MSMEs in Zambia, but also the entire job market that leads to Socio-economic development of the country.
Mr. Kabanda who was representing the IDC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cornwell Muleya disclosed that the Corporation supports the productivity ecosystem for decent work framework, as it aligns with IDC’s transformation strategy for 2024-2033 of industrialization and sustainable job creation which involves MSMEs in form of suppliers, out growers schemes and cooperatives linked to the companies within the Group .
Mr. Kabanda was responding to the Minister of Labour and Social Security Hon. Brenda Mwika Tambatamba (MP)’s call for policy makers, sector players and enterprises to work together to promote inclusive employment for women and youth for enhanced productivity and national development.
