INFRATEL GROWTH STRUCTURE IMPRESSES IDC CEO

Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Chief Executive Officer Mr Cornwell Muleya says he is happy to note that Infratel Zambia Corporation Limited, a government parastatal company is breaking new gromhunds despite being fairly new on the market.
Mr. Muleya said Infratel has an impressive growth structure and strategy that has helped the company to brand itself well and be competitive in the ICT business.
He said this during a curtesy call paid on him by INFRATEL CEO at IDC today.
Speaking during the visit, Infratel CEO Dr Evans Silavwe said the company has been making commendable progress year on year which is not common for new companies in Zambia.
Dr. Silavwe disclosed that under its current strategic intentions, Infratel has an ambitious plan to build on the successes recorded thus far. He said through its innovation, the company will grow its solutions development and innovation revenue by strengthening the digital solutions team.
INFRATEL is wholly owned by IDC and one of the largest telecommunication infrastructure providers in Zambia that owns and operates over 1,200 communication towers, three Data Centres and cloud services.
It was created in 2018 with the mandate to consolidate, own, manage and commercialize all Government’s passive and sharable ICT and telecommunications Infrastructure.
