IDC CEO CHALLENGES NCZ TO INNOVATE AND DREAM BIG

Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cornwell Muleya yesterday conducted a familiarisation tour of Nitrogen Chemical of Zambia (NCZ) to appreciate the critical role that the company plays in ensuring that the manufacturing of fertilizer in Zambia is guaranteed and ahead of time.
Wholly owned by the IDC and established in 1969 but operationalised in 1970, NCZ is one of the only two fertilizer manufacturing companies in Zambia.
Speaking during the tour, Mr. Muleya said though NCZ is in manufacturing and distribution of agriculture fertilizer, the company is strategically positioned to venture into other product lines such as the production of distilled water.
He challenged NCZ to think outside the box, innovate and dream big for the sake of future generations that will take over the operations of the company.
Mr. Muleya added that he sees a brighter future for NCZ as long as the company modernises and invests in new technologies that will make it compete favourably.
“I commend you for going out of your way to keep this place afloat, let us invest in technology and claim our space. When you succeed, we succeed”, he said.
