FOCUS ON BEING PROFITABLE – INFRATEL URGED

IDC CEO Mr Cornwell Muleya has urged Infratel to focus on how they can turnaround the company making it a profitable entity by 2025. Mr Muleya said this when Infratel Board Chairperson Mr Stein Liyanda paid a courtesy call on him in Lusaka yesterday. He said there was need for long term planning which will feed into IDC’s strategic plan.
In response Mr Liyanda assured the IDC of his commitment to turning around the entity and making it profitable in the shortest possible time, with the balance sheet restructuring being the first step towards this goal.
Infratel is a telecommunication infrastructure provider in Zambia that owns and operates more than 1,000 telecom towers, Data Centers, a wide range of Cloud Services and a country wide Optic Fibre network which it leverages to provide wholesale telecommunications infrastructure as a service to Mobile Network Operators, Internet Service Providers, Government organisations and other licensed entities. It is 100% owned by the IDC.
