IDC STAFF GRADUATED WITH CERTIFICATES IN FINANCIAL MODELLING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FROM KAFUE GORGE REGIONAL TRAINING CENTRE (KGRTC) IN KAFUE.

Earlier today, the first cohort of IDC staff graduated with certificates in Financial Modelling and Project Management from Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre (KGRTC) in Kafue.
The weeklong training gave practical insights into project management. It was a good space for shared experiences across departments which included impediments to project implementation.
Speaking at the end of the training on behalf of IDC CEO Mr Cornwell Muleya, Acting Chief Human Capital Officer Mr Owen Kabanda, said participants were drawn from different departments of the Corporation, to foster a cohesive approach towards operationalization of projects in the IDC Investment pipeline as well as enhance capacity building. He said expectation from the shareholder and the people of Zambia for IDC to deliver on its mandate was high. To this end, he acknowledged the significant strides that have been made so far to operationalize projects such as Eastern Tropical Fruit Company in Katete and the Nitrogen Chemicals Fertilizer Blending Plant in Kafue, both with the potential to spur economic growth in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, Head of Training at KGRTC, Eng. Sepiso thanked IDC for choosing the centre for its capacity building program. He urged other companies in the IDC Group to explore the various tailor made courses the centre has to offer.
