Mununshi Fruit Company

Mununshi Fruit Company Limited is an agricultural enterprise based in Mwense District, Luapula Province. The company operates a large fruit estate, currently centred on commercial banana production with additional mango plantings and potential for other commercially viable crops. Mununshi cultivates, processes and markets tropical fruit for domestic and regional markets and forms part of IDC's programme to develop rural agro-industry. Longer-term opportunities include plantation expansion, irrigation, nurseries, cold storage, fruit processing, refrigerated transport and outgrower participation.
