Marcopolo Tiles Company has handed over a newly constructed Police Post and three Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles all valued at K3 million to the Zambia Police Service.
The Police Post will help maintain law and order in the surrounding Malcom Compound in Lusaka West, which has had no police services since it was established over 30 years ago.
The handover ceremony, which was held at the new Police Post adjacent to the factory, was presided over by Ministry of Home Affairs Permanent Secretary Mr Masiye Banda and Chilanga District Commissioner Mr Richard Ndaze.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Marcopolo Tiles has also completed the electrification of the Compound at the cost of K1 million. The company is also constructing a 16-bed health post at a cost of K8 million.
