In line with the IDC mandate of spearheading industrialization, value addition and job creation, the Eastern Tropical Fruits Limited factory will soon be operational in Katete District. The factory is expected to process 24,000 metric tonnes per annum of mangoes and other citrus fruits into juices, jams and canned products.
Once fully operational, the factory is expected to provide 150 direct jobs and over 700 indirect jobs. Currently, 30 employees are being recruited at the factory site. Recruitment will take a phased approach.
