IDC HOSTS A DELEGATION OF INDIAN INVESTORS

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) today hosted a delegation of Indian investors who are actively exploring investment prospects in agriculture and agro-processing.
IDC CEO Mr. Cornwell Muleya, along with his team from the Investment Division, had the privilege of hosting this delegation, which was led by Zambia’s Acting High Commissioner to India, Mrs. Deliwe Ndhlema Mumbi.
The visiting delegation was composed of Mr. Girissh Bajaj and his team from Bajaj Processpack Limited, specializing in agro-processing and post-harvest technologies. Additionally, Mr. Gajendra Singh and his team from Gaj Agro Farms Limited, focusing on agricultural production, were also part of the delegation.
During the meeting, IDC presented an overview of the investment opportunities available in agriculture and agro-processing throughout the country. The delegation is scheduled to soon embark on familiarization tours of IDC projects that elicited their interest.
Mr. Muleya underscored the importance of strong equity partnerships that would mutually benefit both parties involved. He also expressed gratitude to the investors for selecting Zambia as their investment destination, given the nation’s abundant natural resources that can be harnessed for the advancement of agricultural ventures.
