IDC DONATES PPE’s TO SURGICAL SOCIETY OF ZAMBIA

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has commended frontline health workers for repeatedly making sacrifices by working around the clock to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking during a Ministry of Health COVID-19 press briefing, IDC Chief Corporate Services Officer, Mrs Pamela Musepa said Frontline staff and other medical personnel around the country face the imminent danger of contracting the virus as they tirelessly work to contain the spread. This includes infections posed by asymptomatic emergency and essential surgery patients such as victims of road accidents and other injuries, or pregnant women with complicated childbirth needing Caesarean Section.
Mrs Musepa added that the IDC is duty bound to support community efforts. It is for this reason that the Corporation was supporting the Surgical Society of Zambia for the second time and doubling its contribution from the previous donation.
The items donated include safety goggles, surgical gloves, face shields, examination gloves, personal protective equipment (disposable and non-disposable gowns) and Covid-19 rapid test kits.
