The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and ACCA Zambia have renewed their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting professional development.
The MoU, signed today by IDC CEO Mr. Cornwell Muleya and ACCA Zambia Country Director Ms. Janice Matwi, reaffirms their ongoing collaboration and mutual benefits.
The agreement focuses on areas such as joint strategy development, marketing, public relations, and supporting human capital growth for IDC employees. It also leverages both institutions’ professional networks and grants IDC access to ACCA’s professional development resources, enhancing the financial capabilities of its staff.
Mr. Muleya said that the partnership aims to combine the strengths of IDC and ACCA to promote economic growth, improve professional standards, and drive progress in the financial and industrial sectors.
“We recognize ACCA as a leading global accounting body that can provide the expertise, training, and certification needed to support IDC’s professional development in accounting and finance,” he said.
Ms. Matwi emphasized that the collaboration is evolving to meet the demands of the changing financial landscape.
“The collaboration will continue to prioritize human capital development for IDC staff. By investing in their professional growth, through targeted training, development programmes and mentoring, we will enable them to excel in their roles and contribute to IDC’s strategic goals,” she said.
