HOME OF HOPE A SANCTUARY FOR CHILDREN WHOSE JOURNEYS HAVE BEEN MARKED BY CHALLENGES FAR BEYOND THEIR AGE

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) says Home of Hope is a place for children whose journeys have been marked by challenges far beyond their age as well as a place where young lives are given the opportunity to rebuild and dream again.
Speaking during the hand over of an assortment of items at the facility on Friday, IDC ‘s acting Chief Corporate Services Officer, Ms. Namakau Mukelabai said the goal of Home of Hope resonates well with the IDC, as the Corporation is committed tobnot only industrial and economic development, but also to the upliftment of communities within Zambia.
Ms. Mukelabai disclosed that as a good corporate citizen, IDC is devoted to making this an annual tradition, extending its support to different facilities that serve vulnerable populations across the nation.
And speaking at the same event, Home of Hope Director, Jacek Rakowski said IDC’s gesture is a demonstration that God answers prayers for those that truly believe in him.
Mr. Rakowski, popularly known as “Brother Isaac” further said that his facility is grateful to IDC for donating different items, among them new school shoes for all 90 children at the facility.
“It’s so amazing that an organisation we didn’t think knows us, has decided to share the little that they have with our transit home, I cannot describe this experience today God bless IDC, Mr. Rakowski added”.
IDC through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive hopes to provide both practical assistance and a symbolic message of love and care during this festive period and beyond.
