The President of the Republic of Zambia, His Excellency Mr Hakainde Hichilema today visited the IDC stand.
IDC Acting Group CEO, Mr Henry Sakala, was on hand to receive the Head of State.
During the tour the President was briefed on the various investments the IDC has made in the agriculture sector to support industrialisation, value addition and job creation especially in rural areas.
The projects and subsidiaries show casing at the Agritech Expo are: Mununshi Fruit Company (bananas), Zamplam (crude palm oil), Kalene Hills Fruit Processing Plant, Figtree Tomatoe Processing Plant, Eastern Tropical Fruit Processing Plant, Zambezi Cashew, ZAFFICO, Agro- Luswishi, Nansanga Core Venture Farm and Kawambwa Tea.
