The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) described Home of Hope as a place for children whose journeys have been marked by challenges far beyond their age, and where young lives are given an opportunity to rebuild and dream again.
Speaking during the handover of assorted items at the facility, IDC Acting Chief Corporate Services Officer Ms. Namakau Mukelabai said the goal of Home of Hope resonates with IDC. The Corporation is committed not only to industrial and economic development, but also to uplifting communities in Zambia.
Ms. Mukelabai said that, as a good corporate citizen, IDC intends to extend its support to different facilities that serve vulnerable people across the country.
Home of Hope Director Jacek Rakowski, popularly known as Brother Isaac, thanked IDC for the donation, which included new school shoes for all 90 children at the facility.
Through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, IDC aims to provide both practical assistance and a message of care during the festive period and beyond.
