IDC GRACES FIRST KUPUZO CORONATION CEREMONY IN KAOMA

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) joined hundreds of citizens, traditional leaders, and dignitaries in Kaoma District for the historic first Kupuzo Coronation Ceremony for Senior Chief Mbanga Lubosi Yeta of the Nailele regional principality (Kaoma, Lwampa and Nkeyema), held from 5th to 7th December.
The colourful cultural event marked an important milestone for the chiefdom and underscored the role of traditional leadership in fostering unity, development, and cultural preservation.
Representing Government’s commitment to inclusive development, the IDC delegation participated in various ceremonial activities and engaged with local leaders to better understand community needs and opportunities for collaboration.
Speaking during the ceremony, Senior Chief Mbanga Lubosi Yeta expressed heartfelt gratitude to the IDC for honouring the invitation and standing with his people in Kaoma during this significant moment.
“We are deeply grateful for the gesture shown by the Industrial Development Corporation, your presence here demonstrates respect for our culture and a shared belief in uplifting communities across the country and we look forward to continued cooperation that brings meaningful development to our people”, he said.
The chief’s message resonated with attendees, highlighting the importance of partnerships between traditional leadership and national institutions. The IDC reaffirmed its dedication to supporting initiatives that promote cultural heritage while exploring avenues that could bring economic empowerment to communities such as Kaoma.
The coronation ceremony, filled with music, dance, and traditional displays, ended on a hopeful note with leaders and participants expressing optimism for strengthened collaboration and growth for the Nailele regional principality in the years ahead.
