The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cornwell Muleya says the positive performance recorded by Mulungushi Village Complex Limited (MVCL) is an indication of dedication and hard work from the Board, Management and Staff of the company.
Speaking during a familiarisation tour of the facility, Mr. Muleya said the positive outlook recorded year in year is an indication that the company is in the right hands and demonstrates why the facility has remained relevant on the hospitality market.
He commended the company for utilising internally generated resources to keep the facility open and competitive.
“What you have done here is very commendable, but I challenge you to work harder and generate wealth which we can give back to the people of Zambia in form of sustainable jobs and dividends”, Mr. Muleya said.
He assured IDC’s support as the facility embarks on its face lift journey and encouraged the company to actualise its plans of building modern facilities to suit international standards and replicate the business model to the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, MVCL Board Chairperson Mr. Fabian Mayondi was happy that the IDC CEO visited his facility and made a commitment of ensuring that his company justifies why they are called a State-Owned Enterprise created to benefit all Zambians.
Mr Muleya’s visit included a guided tour of key facilities and a strategic briefing on MVCL’s transformation initiatives, covering infrastructure upgrades, occupancy performance, and service delivery enhancements.
