Yesterday, the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) hosted 35 Economics students from the Copperbelt University (CBU) Economics Association, who are in Lusaka to gain practical exposure to Zambia’s industrial development sector.
The visit aimed to deepen the students’ understanding of IDC’s role in driving industrial growth through its various initiatives and projects.
Led by Chief Finance Officer Mr. Raphael Chipoma, Acting Chief Human Capital Officer Mr. Owen Kabanda, and Head of Corporate Communication Ms. Namakau Mukelabai, the IDC team gave an insightful overview of the Corporation’s history, investment strategy, portfolio management, and its exciting new mandate, the creation of a Wealth Fund.
The students also learned about career pathways at IDC, including opportunities available through the Graduate Trainee Programme.
