This week, IDC is part of the over 200 Zambian and Chinese companies participating at the China-Zambia High Quality Development Forum. The Forum, which is aimed at promoting practical cooperation and achieving high-quality development between China and Zambia, runs from May 15-17 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
The event has been organized by the Alliance of Chinese Business in Africa for Social Responsibilities, Bank of China (Zambia) Ltd and the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA).

President Hakainde Hichilema officially opened the Forum yesterday in the presence of Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Mr Du Xiaohui, the Head of Alliance of Chinese Business in Africa for Social Responsibilities Mr Diao Chunhe, several Cabinet Ministers and other senior government officials.
On the sidelines of the event, IDC CEO Mr Cornwell Muleya participated in a high-level forum on the “Internationalization of the Chinese currency Renminbi (RMB) to support high-quality development between China and Zambia”.
IDC has positioned itself for investment partnerships with Chinese investors in its five priority sectors of Agriculture, Energy, Mining, Manufacturing and Tourism.
