ZAMPALM

Zampalm Limited operates Zambia's first commercial oil-palm plantation and an associated oil mill in Kanchibiya District, Muchinga Province. Its integrated activities cover plantation management, nursery development, harvesting and the processing of fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil. The IDC investment booklet describes a large landholding with planted oil palm, a processing mill and further scope for plantation expansion, refinery development, alternative crops and smallholder outgrower participation. The business is intended to support domestic edible-oil production and value addition.
